Junior Boys - You’ll Improve Me (Caribou Remix)
New line-up addition: DJ RASHAD & DJ SPINN (playing Caribou’s day)

Bio:
DJ Rashad:
DJ Rashad has been instrumental to the creation and evolution of Chicago Juke music and has been lifelong friends with other key players on the scene, such as Paul Johnson, DJ Gant-Man, DJ Spinn, DJ Godfather, and Jammin Gerald. He has the ability to blend elements of house, ghetto house, disco, juke, and ghettotech together with a knack for creating sparse, snappy tracks that manage to convey a physicality and funk with a spectacular precision.
Along with his teammates DJ Spinn and DJ Gant-Man, DJ Rashad has become notorious for making juke anthems that have made fans outside the world of Chicago mix cds. He’s DJ’ed across Europe and released records on Juke Trax and Databass records earlier on in his career and some big remixes and collaborations are in the pipeline.
DJ Spinn:
A staple in footwork circles since the late 90s, and regular DJ at house parties throughout Chicagoland. South suburb resident Spinn started his career dancing for the legendary early dance crew House–O–Matics, later on becoming part of Wolf Pac with his partner in crime DJ Rashad. Known for having a knack for breaking down everything from hip-hop tracks to Pink Floyd into circle worthy material, his basement studio is a regular hangout for many prominent dancers and producers of today.

New line-up addition: SILVER APPLES (playing Caribou’s day)

Bio:
The groundbreaking work of Silver Apples cannot be overstated. Combining early home-made synthesizer work with a minimalist rock aesthetic, they made some of the most influential sounds of the late ’60s. Bands such as Suicide, Spacemen3, Blur, Moby and, yes, Portishead openly acknowledge the musical influence. Since drummer, Danny Taylor’s untimely death in 2005, Simeon has continued as a solo with Danny’s drum tracks sampled, maintaining the true Silver Apples sound. Simeon has continued their experimental path up to the present day, culminating in this rare live collabortive appearance in which his side of the performance is created live on a computer.

New line-up addition: ROLL THE DICE (playing Caribou’s day)

Bio:
Working with set rules, limitations and always forcing themselves to narrow their options, gives the duo ‘Roll the Dice’ inspiration to constantly move forward without doubt or hesitation.
Like settlers in the early landscape of acoustics and electronics. The result can only be described as heartfelt, emotive and always aiming to find that streak of gold within.

New line-up addition: CONNAN MOCKASIN (playing Caribou’s day)

Bio:
‘please turn me into the snat’ is the debut solo album from the front man / singer / songwriter / guitarist of obscure legendary new zealand band, connan and the mockasins. ‘please turn me into the snat’ shifted its creation between east sussex, london, and a haunted house somewhere in wellington, new zealand and now finally gets released by erol alkan’s phantasy label. the album falls somewhere between fantasy and reality, innocence and wisdom, pop music and an art form as yet unnamed. it introduces the listener to the amazing world of connan mockasin - from cats with larger-than-life personalities, unicorns in uniform, to alter egos such as don dicaprio. put simply, connan mockasin is not like anyone else. whether he is singing an ode to a favourite pet, parading one of his handmade costumes, strumming his autoharp, performing fretboard heroics or manipulating one of his home-styled instruments, he has the uncommon ability to make everyone smile. with new sounds revealed on each subsequent listen, connan plays a true psychedlia - the soundtrack to a an opium den built for children. bend your brain and warm your cockles, get turned into the snat - it feels good.
